With a 6 month duration, the incubation process offers a comprehensive program of professionalization; with theoretical and practical training, monitoring and support in a unique ecosystem for videogame developers.
Training provided by professionals from the videogame industry; with the objective to professionalize teams and increase their possibilities of success in the creation of a new company. This professional training will last during the 6 months, including 15h hours of training per month.
Participating teams will receive a scholarship of 5.400 € per team. These grants are linked to the fulfillment of certain conditions, in areas such as the participation in training sessions, engagement in the GameBCN program and the achievement of certain milestones in developing the project, among others.
Mentoring Program, with professionals with extensive experience and reputation in the industry, that will guide and direct the teams throughout this process with their experience, knowledge and contacts. The mentoring relationships are established with a GameBCN proposal, upon acceptance by the project and mentor.
Working Space for up to three members of the team in the GameBCN Incubator in the Canodrom Park de Recerca Creativa. This referential building provides space for entrepreneurs to develop games within a professional and open area to exchange ideas, both with other GameBCN projects as well as participants in other incubation/acceleration programs on a national and international level.
Events and Networking
The projects will be present at events such as iFest, Game Developers Conference, Gamelab, Gamescom, E3 and DAU Digital. This participation means networking opportunities and the possibility to meet the most relevant publishers and influencers in the video game industry.
More than 20 sessions from relevant professionals in the sector complement the training program and allow participants to learn from industry experts from major companies how they confront and resolve some of the issues discussed in the program. A practical approach from real companies in the sector, explaining solutions to their problems.
At the end of the program, the participants will present their project to relevant investors from the gaming sector.
